Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support care teams with comprehensive patient screenings, clinical procedures, and health education. You will handle administrative tasks and coordinate care using technology to assist diverse patient populations.

The ideal candidate holds CMA credentials and BLS, with strong clinical knowledge and teamwork skills to adapt and learn continuously in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required at hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant credentials required (AAMA/NHA/NCCT/AMT or equivalent).
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care following standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, allergies, medications).
• May draw blood and prepare specimens for labs.
• Administer medications and vaccines as ordered.
• May perform routine tests including EKGs.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination.

Every day, you will actively collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks, leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical knowledge, technological fluency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit keen on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.

• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
• May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
• May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKG’s.

$16.06 - $22.69 /hour
