Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support a CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group care team in Kentucky. You will assist with screenings, clinical procedures, patient education, and coordinating care for diverse populations.

You’ll need strong clinical knowledge, tech comfort, and a collaborative, compassionate approach with a commitment to learning and teamwork. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible hires.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED upon hire.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant credentials (CMA/NCCT/AMT) upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, allergies, current medications.
• May collect specimens and prepare for laboratory analysis.
• Administer medications and vaccines via various routes.
• May perform routine tests including EKGs.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination.

Every day, you will actively collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks, leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical knowledge, technological fluency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit keen on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.

• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
• May be required to collect urine drug specimens, draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer ordered medications and /or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and /or nasal administration.
• May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKGs.

Preferred

• Two year medical assistant experience
