Base pay range

$19.43/hr - $26.26/hr

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure timely prescription refills for NCPC providers pursuant to prescription refill policy.
• Communicate with patients to clarify prescription needs when necessary.
• Communicate with pharmacies via telephone, fax, mail, etc., regarding medication changes and/or refills as directed by provider.
• Maintain strong relationships with medical providers, clinical staff, and patients.
• Proactively assist patients with medication and appointment scheduling to promote adherence.
• Handle refill requests via fax, phone, and electronic systems.
• Manage and promote adherence to Controlled Substance Agreements for NCPC.
• Manage prior authorization requests.
• Represent NCPC professionally in the community and collaborate with peers effectively.
• Any other duties as assigned
  
  

Education

High school diploma. Certified Pharmacy Technician and/or Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Experience

Should have prior experience in a medical office and/or pharmacy. Should have working knowledge of medical terminology, word processing, data entry, and strong customer service skills. Must have good organizational skills, strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize workload to meet office needs. Must possess the ability to interact well with people and deal with stressful situations appropriately.

Physical Demands

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods. Will also require bending or squatting.

Pleasant office surrounding. Occasionally subjected to stressful situations. May be exposed to communicable diseases and blood borne pathogens.
