Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care is hiring a Medical Assistant in Lake Ridge, VA. The role supports both clinical and front office operations, working with providers to deliver high-quality care and a welcoming patient experience.

The schedule includes shifts within 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with compensation ranging $20–$28 per hour. The position requires a High School Diploma, at least 1 year MA experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required at time of hire).
• Certification options include CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA (depending on eligibility).

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination and document medical history.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, height, weight).
• Perform point-of-care testing and report results.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms; monitor inventory.
• Support front desk responsibilities including phone management.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls; complete opening/closing duties; cash handling.
