Job summary

Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care in Northern Virginia seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front office operations. You will register patients, document medical histories, perform vital signs and point-of-care tests, and assist with phlebotomy as needed.

The role requires at least 1 year of MA experience, High School diploma, and BLS certification. Shifts run from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM with various possible schedules; benefits and growth opportunities are highlighted by the employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required.
• BLS certification required at or time of hire.
• Proficiency with computers and ability to document efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination and document medical history.
• Measure vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, height, weight).
• Perform point-of-care tests and report results to providers.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms; monitor inventory.
• Support front desk duties including phone management and patient communication.
