Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for Plymouth Family & Internal Medicine. The role supports physicians in ambulatory care, performing routine medical assisting procedures to promote patient comfort, safety, and quality care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or MA program, CPR certification within 60 days, and 1–3 years of experience in a medical/physician office. Benefits start day one and a generous sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered.

Job Summary

• The Medical Assistant supports physicians and other professional healthcare providers in the ambulatory care setting by delivering both direct and indirect patient care. This position performs routine medical assisting procedures to promote patient comfort, safety, and quality care.

Job Specifications and Core Competencies

Education:

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent and/or graduate of: (1) a one-year medical assistant program (2) an accredited two-year medical assisting program. Previous experience/training in general medical office skills and procedures. Proficient/knowledgeable in medical terminology.

Licensure:

• Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA is preferred at hire and required within 90 days
• CPR certification required within 60 days of hire

Experience:

• One to three years of experience in a medical or physician office preferred
• Basic business office, clinical, and computer skills preferred
