Role Description

This full-time, on-site Certified Medical Assistant role is based at Frisco Spine in Frisco, TX. The Certified Medical Assistant will support neurosurgeon physician and clinical staff by rooming patients, recording vital signs, updating patient histories, and preparing exam rooms and equipment. Daily responsibilities include assisting with minor procedures, managing clinical and administrative tasks, and ensuring accurate documentation in patient charts and electronic medical records. The role also involves coordinating patient flow, communicating pre- and post-visit instructions, and promoting a safe, organized clinic environment. The Certified Medical Assistant will contribute to a positive patient experience by providing courteous, efficient, and compassionate support throughout each visit.

Qualifications

• Clinical support skills, including Medical Assisting and Patient Care, to safely assist with exams and procedures.


• Knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately understand and document clinical information.


• Experience in a Medical Office setting to manage patient flow, scheduling support, and front/back office collaboration.


• Ability to handle Medical Records, including accurate charting, EMR (Athena & ECW)documentation, and maintaining confidentiality.


• Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) and compliance with applicable state requirements.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff.


• Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment.


• Prior experience in an orthopedic, spine, or specialty practice is beneficial but not required.
