Pandya Medical Center - Cumming, GA is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support Providers by performing clinical and administrative duties under supervision. You will help manage patient flow, document in EHR, assist with exams, procedures, and basic lab tasks.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, proficiency with EHR systems, completion of an accredited MA program, and ideally CPR/BLS certification. Two years of MA experience is preferred.

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant supports Providers in delivering high-quality patient care by performing clinical and administrative duties under supervision. This role ensures efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and a well-maintained clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration)
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Assist physicians during exams and minor procedures
• Administer medications and injections as directed
• Perform basic laboratory tests (e.g., urinalysis)
• Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
• Perform EKGs and other diagnostic tests
• Maintain infection control and sterilize equipment
• Document patient information in electronic health records (EHR)
• Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
• Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
• Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment
• Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
• Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to Providers
