The Medical University of South Carolina is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care at their Bluffton location. This role involves direct patient interaction, including measuring vital signs and preparing treatment rooms.

The Certified Medical Assistant reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Medical Assistant performs multi‑skilled activities to support a decentralized patient‑centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
Interviews patients, measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), records or inputs information into patients' medical record, and prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
Basic computer skills required. Annual competencies are required to be maintained. Must possess the ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of therapeutic procedures and make accurate physical observations of patients. Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.
