Job summary

Asbury Chandler Estates, part of Asbury Communities, seeks a dedicated medication aide to support residents with daily living and medicine administration in a warm, inclusive community. You will prepare and safely administer prescribed medications, verify resident identity, and ensure correct labeling and timing, with a focus on accuracy and compassion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medication Administration course is a plus.
• 1 year experience or training with older adults or retirement housing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Accurately and safely prepares and administers oral, ophthalmic, optic, nasal, rectal, and topical medications prescribed by the physician.
• Verifies the identity of the resident before administering medication or treatment; checks the medication three times before administering for correct resident, drug, and dosage, form, route, and accurate time and frequency (e.g. 1 hour after meals).
• Ensures that all medications administered are properly labeled.
