Allegria Village is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support residents in our assisted living facility in Dearborn, MI. This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities across multiple shifts.
We require at least 6 months of Med Tech experience, a Med Tech Certification, and strong communication skills in English. CPR is preferred. You will ensure safe medication administration and keep accurate MAR records.

To be considered, candidates must have:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medication Technician in an Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing Facility
Assist residents with the self-administrationof prescribed medications
Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration(right resident, drug, dose, time, route, and documentation)
Monitor resident health (vital signs, symptoms) and promptly report any concerns
Record medication administration accurately in the Medication Administration Record (MAR)
Ensure medication carts, cabinets, and roomsare organized, clean, and fully stocked
Audit medication carts daily and ensure timely medication reorders
Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and staff
Provide companionship and emotional supportto residents
Respect residents’ rights to dignity, privacy, and medication refusal
Identify and report any adverse reactionsor health concerns
Help prevent infection through proper procedures and hygiene
Maintain documentation and complete paperwork in a timely and efficient manner
Support residents’ evolving care needs with prompt attention
Other duties as assigned
At least 6 months of Medication Tech experience
Med Tech Certification
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to act quickly and appropriately in emergency situations
Effective communication skills (verbal and written in English)
Ability to maintain resident confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards
High school diploma or GED required
CPR certification preferred
Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs
Frequent walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, and typing
May have exposure to individuals with communicable diseases
