University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a part-time Mammography Radiologic Technologist to perform breast imaging procedures at Huntsman Cancer Hospital – Kathryn F. Kirk Center in Salt Lake City.

Qualifications

• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system (obtained within 30 days of hire)
• Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah
• ARRT registration for Mammography, RT(M)

Responsibilities

• Performs breast imaging procedures with ionizing and non-ionizing equipment, including ultrasound-guided or stereotactic breast biopsies as needed
• Complies with ACR imaging guidelines to produce optimum radiographs
• Educates patients about their procedure and maintains a safe, comfortable environment
• Communicates breast cancer risk and imaging information to patients
• Participates in department and procedural quality improvement and quality control
• Collects and documents patient information accurately and assists in follow-up
• Trains new mammography technologists to expected performance levels
• Identifies and rectifies equipment problems and inventories supplies
