The City of Bethel, Alaska seeks certified lifeguards to ensure safety around pool areas under the direction of the Community Parks and Recreation Director. Positions include permanent benefited part-time, less than part-time, and seasonal (summer) roles with varying hours and DOQ.
Applicants must be at least 15, able to read English, pass a swim test, and obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
Under the direction of the Community Parks and Recreation Director, the Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of customers in and around pool areas. The lifeguard may also provide customer service support and assist with various maintenance and cleaning tasks.
The City has openings for permanent benefited part-time (less than 30 hours per week), less than part time (less than 15 hours per week) and seasonal (summer) positions.
Must be at least 15 years old at the time of hire. Must be able to read and understand written instructions in English.
