Join us as a Certified Lifeguard in Grayslake, IL at Right At School

Become part of our team to ensure safety and fun in our aquatic environment. We are seeking certified lifeguards to maintain safe swimming conditions and provide excellent supervision.

Responsibilities
  1. Monitoring and Observation: Vigilantly watch swimmers for signs of distress or unsafe behavior.
  2. Accident Prevention and Rule Enforcement: Identify hazards, enforce safety rules, and take corrective actions.
  3. Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to emergencies with rescues, CPR, and first aid as needed.
  4. Communication and Supervision: Guide water users, supervise activities, and communicate safety information effectively.
  5. Reporting: Document incidents, report safety concerns, and provide incident reports to management.
Position Requirements
  • Certified lifeguard from a recognized organization (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA)
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications
  • Strong swimming skills and physical fitness
  • Ability to react quickly in emergencies
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of lifeguard experience
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and move for extended periods
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential

Compensation

$17 - $20 per hour, based on experience and credentials
