Ymca Of Central Maryland, Inc. is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and smooth operation of the pool during hours of operation. The role focuses on safeguarding members and guests and enforcing pool policies while maintaining a welcoming environment.
Candidates must hold current lifeguard and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications, pass the swim test, and be available for flexible shifts including evenings and weekends. Training is provided and the YMCA values guide daily conduct.
Under the supervision of the Swim Director or other assigned associate, Lifeguard is responsible for the safety, cleanliness, and operation of the swimming pool during operating hours. The primary function of the Lifeguard will be to safeguard the health and safety of members, class participants, and guests; and enforce guidelines and safety policies.
Lifeguard will meet the qualifications set forth by the Y in Central Maryland. Associates shall be of good character and reputation; capable of carrying out assigned responsibilities; capable of accepting training and supervision; and capable of communicating effectively both orally and in writing as applicable to the job responsibility.
