Job summary

A recreational facility is seeking a qualified lifeguard responsible for maintaining a safe environment for all patrons. The lifeguard will perform surveillance, provide emergency care, enforce rules, and maintain high standards of customer service. Candidates must be CPR and Lifeguard certified, with strong communication skills and the ability to react effectively in emergencies. A professional appearance is also required. This role is essential for ensuring safety and compliance within the facility.

Qualifications

• Must be CPR Certified by an accredited training source.
• Must be Lifeguard Certified by an accredited training source.
• Must renew Lifeguard and CPR certifications before expiration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance of individuals and ensure their safety.
• Provide emergency care until medical services arrive.
• Advise on improper activities and enforce facility rules.
• Present a professional appearance according to standards.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service.
• Perform maintenance duties to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Prepare and maintain activity reports.
• Record time accurately using the attendance system.
• Complete miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintains constant surveillance of individuals in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of all individuals in the event of an emergency.
• Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Advise residents and guests of improper activities or hazards and enforces and adheres to facility rules and regulations.
• Always present a professional appearance and attitude. Must follow NFC Uniform and Grooming Standards.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service.
• Perform various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate activity reports.
• Accurately record time in/out by following the Company’s Time and Attendance system.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Certifications

• Must be CPR Certified with a valid certification issued by an accredited source of training.
• Must be Lifeguard Certified with a valid certification issued by an accredited source of training.
• Must always renew current Lifeguard and CPR certifications prior to their expiration.
