Job summary

Alliance for Nonprofit Resources (ANR) is seeking a dedicated Certified Investigator to conduct community-based investigations involving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Allegheny County. This full-time remote role requires PA ODP certification and regional travel, which ANR supports financially.

You will lead investigations, interview witnesses, and compile comprehensive reports while upholding the highest ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field is required.
  • Maintain the 3-year Certified Investigator requirements and pass recertification when due.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Certified Investigation status and knowledge of ODPM/HCSIS/MyODP/EIM.
  • Conduct timely, thorough, and objective investigations and initiate within 24 hours.
  • Lead investigations for assigned areas and provide back-up support when needed.
  • Identify witnesses and conduct thorough interviews; compile evidence into reports.
  • Ensure ethical conduct and proper documentation; travel regionally when needed.

As a Certified Investigator, you will conduct community-based investigations into allegations of abuse or harm involving individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to do work that truly matters while enjoying the flexibility of a remote position and willing to travel regionally.Candidates must be currently certified or willing to become a Certified Investigator through the Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs (ODP). No certification yet? No problem!
