Job summary

Advocate Health Lake Norman - Sterile Processing Services is seeking a full-time Sterile Processing Technician to ensure decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments. You will follow infection prevention standards and work 40 hours with weekend call requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma, 4 years of experience, and CSPDT or CRCST certification, with benefits eligible and competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years experience in sterile processing required.
• CSPDT or CRCST certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all surgical instruments and equipment are decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked.
• Demonstrates proficiency in four service lines and works with complex surgical instrumentation.
• Safely handles soiled and sterile items following proper traffic flow.
• Identifies malfunctions and reports alarms; performs efficacy and quality testing.
• Performs high temperature steam and low temperature sterilization as required.
