Job Responsibilities
  • Perform all activities associated with decontamination, clean prep, tray assembly, sterilization, distribution, and acquiring of instruments and supplies for the OR and L/D Departments.
  • Perform all level I tech duties and responsibilities.
  • Train and precept new staff.
  • Oversee processing department equipment.
  • Identify specialty instruments and supplies.
  • Complete all paperwork associated with sterilization processes for patient safety and accreditation purposes.
  • Maintain attention to detail in performing job duties and responsibilities.
  • Maintain and recognize the sterility of supplies and trays.
  • Deliver and interpret requested supplies/items.
  • Prioritize and respond appropriately to a variety of situations.
  • Organize and perform high-volume cases efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of CRCST program or Surgical Technology program.
  • CRCST certification required, with annual maintenance, for non-Surgical Technology graduates.
  • 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred.
