Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 8–11 years of experience required; advanced degrees preferred.
• CIH certification required; CSP/CHMM and EPA Lead-based Paint credentials are a plus.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable history; ability to attain Terracon APR status.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough site investigations to identify physical and environmental risks.
• Develop sampling strategies, research regulatory standards, and assist in practice guidance.
• Evaluate results, prepare risk assessment reports, and present findings to clients.
• Lead safety efforts, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with safety rules.

Role Overview

Senior Industrial Hygienist responsibilities include investigative, strategic, reporting, leadership, quality assurance, mentorship, and client development duties.

Responsibilities

• Investigative Excellence: Conduct thorough site investigations to identify physical and environmental risks, including airborne chemical monitoring, noise monitoring, and indoor air quality assessments.
• Strategic Development: Support regional growth throughout New England and national clients, develop comprehensive sampling strategies, research regulatory standards, and assist in creating practice guidance for Terracon industrial hygiene practitioners.
• Impactful Reporting: Evaluate sampling results, prepare detailed risk assessment reports, and develop actionable recommendations. Present findings to clients.
• Leadership and Safety: Lead safety efforts for the team, ensuring adherence to safety rules and guidelines, and model a safe work environment with pre‑task planning.
• Quality Assurance: Drive continuous quality monitoring and improvement, upholding high‑quality standards in all project and proposal deliveries.
• Mentorship and Training: Provide technical direction and training to less experienced staff, fostering growth and development.
• Client Development and Engagement: Participate in marketing strategy development and present qualifications to clients across commercial, transportation, healthcare, energy, and federal markets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related science field.
• Minimum 8–11 years of experience.
• Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
• Ability to attain Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status.
