Job summary

Verland seeks a Certified Investigator to manage internal incidents within the EHR system, ensuring rapid, objective investigations in line with federal and PA regulations. The role includes data tracking, evidence collection, witness interviews, and producing thorough reports for policy improvement.

The position is salaried, exempt, full-time, with ongoing training and collaboration across Risk Management, Compliance, and Quality Management to uphold regulatory standards and service safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health care related field preferred with two years’ experience in an ICF/ID setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good writing and typing skills with attention to grammar and accuracy.
• Familiarity with PA Protective Services laws and mandated reporter regulations.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and manage competing priorities.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and insured vehicle.
• Act 33/34 clearances, FBI required.

Responsibilities

• Manage incident investigations in compliance with federal, state, and regional regulations.
• Track and report monthly incident data; support data entry in EIM and Power BI dashboards.
• Secure evidence, obtain witness statements, and develop a factual, chronological summary from occurrence to closure.
• Provide education, guidance, and training on incident management and reporting.
• Collaborate with Risk Management, Compliance, and agency committees on policy development and improvement.
• Lead Administrative Reviews and Peer Reviews to ensure timely, objective investigations.
• Maintain knowledge of incident management regulations and revise procedures accordingly.
• Be available for on-call incidents, including weekends, to support timely investigations.
