Part Time Certified Hyperbaric Technologist – Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 12 PM
Job Summary
As the Hyperbaric Technician at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, you will work under the general supervision of the Hyperbaric Physician and direct supervision of the Clinical Manager. Your role is to safely and effectively operate the compression chamber system and supporting components, and perform maintenance activities on the hyperbaric chamber(s) and associated equipment.
Additional responsibilities include reporting to the Center HBO Safety Director regarding safety issues and concerns, and ensuring compliance with all therapeutic and diagnostic modalities ordered by the Hyperbaric Physician.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate the hyperbaric chamber system and support components safely and effectively.
- Perform maintenance activities on the hyperbaric chamber(s) and associated systems and equipment.
- Report safety issues and concerns to the Center HBO Safety Director.
- Adhere to the working schedule Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 12 PM.
Qualifications
- Must be credentialed or licensed in the state of employment.
- Current license, certification, or training required in at least one of the following vocations: Registered Nurse, Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN), National Board of Respiratory Care registered respiratory therapist, certified respiratory therapy technician, emergency medical technician, certified hyperbaric technologist, diving medical technician, military corpsman, commercial or military diver, or life support technician.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in healthcare or the diving industry. Experience in wound care, hyperbaric medicine, emergency medicine, or acute medical care is preferred.
- Specific training and/or experience in compression chamber operations, including knowledge of decompression tables, is strongly desired.
- Ability to physically meet the working conditions required of the job.
- Computer literate.
