Job summary

Ennoble Care is seeking a compassionate Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to support our Morris County, NJ hospice service. You will assist with ADLs, personal care, transfers, and meal support in patients' homes, following care plans and reporting health changes to the nurse.

The role requires NJ certification, 75 hours of training with at least 16 hours hands-on, and at least 1 year as CNA/HHA with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• NJ homemaker-home health aide is NJ Board of Nursing certified.
• Minimum 75 hours classroom and supervised training with at least 16 hours practical.
• At least 16 hours classroom instruction and 16 hours supervised training completed.
• One year experience as CNA, hospice aide, or home health aide (Hospice preferred).
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Care for census of 5-6 patients.
• Assist in ADL activities and personal hygiene.
• Assist with toileting, positioning, transfers, and bed mobility.
• Assist with prescribed exercises and ROM activities.
• Light housekeeping of patient unit and laundry.
• Feed and assist with meals.
• Report changes in patient condition to the Nurse.
• Position for full-time and tuck-in shifts.

We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our growing Hospice Company for our Morris County, NJ region.

Duties

The caregiver (CHHA) will be responsible for:

• Care for census of 5-6 patients
• Provides or assists in ADL activities; personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails.
• Provides assistance in toileting, positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of a bed bound resident/patient.
• Assists with the prescribed exercise and ROM activities which the resident/patient and Hospice aide have been taught by the Hospice Nurse.
• Assists with light housekeeping of individual's personal unit or room, including changing of bed linen and patient’s laundry.
• Feeds and assists with meals.
• Reports any changes in resident's/patient's condition to the Nurse.
• Looking for full-time and tuck-ins

Qualifications

• In NJ, homemaker-home health aide means a person who has completed a training program approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing and who is so certified by the Board in accordance with NJSA 45:11-23 et seq and NJAC 13:37.
• Received a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training with at least 16 hours devoted to supervised practical training and with at least 16 hours of classroom instruction completed.
• One year experience as a CNA, hospice aide or home health aide. (Hospice preferred)
• At least 18 years old.
• Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order.
• The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
