Job description

We're looking for Certified Home Health Aides in various locations in Suffolk County, New York (See Below) to be at the heart of our client's care. As a home health aide with Gurwin Health Care Agency, you'll need to be a Certified Home Health Aide in the state of NY, and provide exceptional care that our clients rely on to stay safe at home. Duties:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or patients requiring home care is preferred.
  • Provide personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Qualifications:
  • You NEED to be a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) in the state of NY
  • You need to have reliable transportation
  • Able to work a minimum of 35 hours/week and every other weekend
  • Eligible to work in the United states
  • Fluent in English (able to speak and understand)
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency
  • Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old
