Job summary

Home & Health Care Management, Inc. is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide to join our California team in the Redding area. You will work with an interdisciplinary health team to support patients transitioning from hospital to home care and help them stay safely in the community.

We require active CA HHA certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check. This on-site role offers part-time or per-diem schedules with competitive compensation and benefits.

Who You Are:

You are a Certified Home Health Aide in California who is interested in working with an interdisciplinary team of health professionals helping individuals that have transitioned from a hospital to home care setting and assisting them to remain in the community. You enjoy helping clients achieve their personal goals of remaining in the community. You want to work with a team that inspires professional growth and share our priority of providing quality case management and home health care to the community.

Note* This is not a position for Caregivers, or Registry Aides. We are accepting applications from Certified Home Health Aides who have completed training as a Home Health Aide and received the necessary license issued from the State of California.

Responsibilities:

• Assists patient with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation, and other activities as needed
• Performs duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner
• Notifies the office of any abnormal findings or conditions

Experience Required:

• Patient-interaction skills
• Experience with ADLs
• Experience with Hoyer Lifts
• Ability to multi-task and perform duties in a timely and orderly manner

Essential Requirements:

• Completed an approved Home Health Aide training course and received Certification as Home Health Aide from the State of California
• Valid California Driver’s License
• Eligible to be insured under our liability policy with a clean DMV report
• Reliable transportation
• Proof of current auto insurance
• Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
• Current CPR certification

PPE is provided to all employees

Service Region/ Location:

This is not a remote role and requires you to work reporting to our client's homes in Redding and surrounding counties.

Schedule:

Part-time or Per-Diem work - Ranges from 2-29 hours per week, hours may vary. Strong possibility of full-time work in the next 90 to 180 days.

Travel:

You will need to travel to client’s homes within the Redding area and surrounding counties.

Physical Requirements:

Conditional upon job offer is successfully passing a medical exam that tests amongst other things the ability to move, visual acuity, and hearing acuity. Physical requirements for this role specifically include:

• Sits, stands, bends, lifts, walks, and moves intermittently during working hours
• Able to lift to 50 pounds without assistance
• Able to drive intermittently

Compensation:

$23.00 - $25.00 / hour
