Job summary

Fox Trail Memory Care in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide for a full-time role. You will provide hands-on personal care, support daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, comfortable home.

Applicants must hold a valid New Jersey CHHA license; CDP is a plus. The position offers competitive hourly pay, a stable schedule, and opportunities to make a meaningful impact on residents' lives.

Qualifications

• CDP certification preferred, but not required.
• Previous memory care/assisted living experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration.
• Monitor basic health status and report changes to the Community Director.
• Offer companionship and lead or assist with engaging activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a safe home.
• Assist with resident transfers and mobility as needed.

Full-Time | $18.00 - $18.75 per hour

What You’ll Do:

• Providing hands‑on assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, and assisting with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration.
• Monitoring basic health status and reporting changes to the Community Director.
• Offering companionship, emotional support, and reassurance to the residents, and leading or assisting with engaging activities and social interactions.
• Performing light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a safe, comfortable home.
• Safely assisting with resident transfers and mobility as needed.
• Supporting a safe, nurturing environment that meets residents’ physical and emotional needs.

What You'll Need:

• Current New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) license required
• Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) preferred, but not required
• Previous experience in memory care, assisted living, or senior care preferred, but not required
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Ability to lift and support up to 75 lbs for resident transfers and mobility assistance
