Job summary

A home care service provider is looking for a Certified Home Care Aide in Muncie, Indiana. You will provide personalized, one-on-one care to patients in their homes, assisting them with daily activities, meal preparation, and maintaining records of their care. Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach are essential. While the position is currently part-time, it has the potential to become full-time. Prior experience in Home Health or Hospice is beneficial.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Driver’s license is required.
• One year of prior professional experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, and wheelchairs.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Certified Home Care Aide to join our team! You will be directly working with patients, following a one-on-one care plan in patient homes. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus. At this time we are looking for a part time person but it could very well become full time.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities

Qualifications
