Job Summary

Start Date: Monday, June 9th, 2025

Shift: Monday - Friday: Must be open to any shift between 10:30am – 8pm CST. It is required to work every fourth Saturday from 8:00am-4:30pm CST.

Training: 6 weeks of training from 8am – 4:30pm CST. Attendance is mandatory for all training days.

Compensation: Hourly Rate: $21.50 or $25 including certification through NBC-HWC or CHES only.

The Health Coach is part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for improving individual health and wellness, as well as the overall health of a client's population. The role involves engaging and supporting members to improve lifestyles and behaviors, reducing risk factors, and promoting better health. The Health Coach reports to an Operations Coach Manager.

Essential Job Functions
  • Participate in telephonic engagement and coaching calls to inform, enroll, and support program participants.
  • Coordinate delivery of services with a multidisciplinary care team, including nurses, pharmacists, and vendors.
  • Support operational tasks to meet organizational customer requirements.
  • Adhere to schedules and caseloads, which may vary between 1:1 or team-based models.
  • Attend daily and monthly meetings to share updates and insights.
  • Track members' progress and evaluate program efficacy.
Skills and Attributes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand instructions and respond to inquiries effectively.
  • Enthusiastic and motivational approach to encouraging behavior change.
  • Willingness to learn motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and rotating Saturdays.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (e.g., Psychology, Nutrition, Exercise Science).
  • 2+ years of health coaching experience may substitute for a degree.
  • 1-2 years of related experience, preferably in customer service.
  • Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage telephonic communication and software navigation simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of lifestyle topics such as smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and sleep.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to schedule changes.
  • Hard-wired internet connection required; WIFI not permitted.
