Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of departmental policies and treatment protocols; ensures patient safety and proper body mechanics.
• Reviews information from history, physicals, and complaints; uses proper testing and measurements to evaluate patients.
• Designs treatment plans based on patient problems and goals; prepares for discharge; records progress and orders equipment as needed.
• Organizes patient treatment and schedules; provides supervision and training of OT technicians, students, or nursing staff as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
