Overview

Position: Certified Hand Therapist - PT or OT

Location: Manchester, CT

Schedule: Monday through Friday

PRN and part-time are also available.

Compensation: Salary up to $100k based on experience.

Incentives: Sign-on bonus up to $10k and student debt repayment.

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist, to treat various upper extremity disorders ranging from tendon injuries, sprains, strains, post-operative fractures, and more. We are seeking a hand therapist who is skilled in custom splinting. The Certified Hand Therapist will work with our regional hand therapy coordinator to ensure you have what you need for success.

Our large office features multiple clinicians with vast experience. The office is directly below a top referring orthopedic physician, and referrals for hand therapy come from many local area physicians. You will have the ability to shadow several top hand surgeons in the area and be part of a supportive team with unmatched resources for hand therapy. Our newly designed center includes a designated area in the open gym space for hand therapy, with splint pan/materials on site along with many cutting-edge therapy tools. You will be able to see initial evaluations for an hour.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high-quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
• Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs.
• Maintain a positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
• Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for occupational or physical therapy.
• Hold specialty certification or licensure in hand therapy.
• National registration and state licensure or registration required.
• Previous demonstrated marketing experience.
• Solid experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license.
