This job provides safe, effective, and motivating group fitness classes for participants of all levels. It involves delivering cutting-edge classes, promoting fitness and positive self-esteem, providing leadership, and educating, monitoring, and encouraging all participants from beginners to advanced exercisers. Staying current with all fitness trends is essential.

Education

Required - High School diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

Required - Experience working in a team environment

Certifications

Required - Applicable certification for the specific group fitness class taught

CPR and AED certified

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Proficient with computer skills for data entry and retrieval of patient information; familiar with Windows applications and keyboard.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to present information clearly and professionally to various individuals throughout the patient care process.
• Ability to perform a class lasting up to 1.5 hours.

Job Duties

• Execute classes within program guidelines.
• Maintain certifications for the specific group fitness classes taught.
• Perform general duties such as class maintenance and substitutions.
• Ensure customer service and safety throughout the class.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, and grab with arms and hands, and stand for prolonged periods. No exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, and minimal occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
