Danley 911 Home Services is hiring a Certified Generator Technician to diagnose, repair, and service residential standby generators for homeowners across Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset, and Mercer Counties in New Jersey.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance, test automatic transfer switches, and communicate repair recommendations clearly while upholding safety and code standards. The role offers stable, year-round work and opportunities for ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Current generator certification preferred (Generac, Kohler, Cummins, Briggs & Stratton, or equivalent).
• Experience servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing residential standby generators.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with automatic transfer switches and control systems.
• Reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record; 21+ years old.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with a team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and local electrical codes.
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
• Collaborate with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical departments to provide complete home service solutions.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Generator Technician to join our team and help deliver the exceptional service our customers have come to expect.

If you're an experienced technician who enjoys troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and helping homeowners protect their homes during power outages, we'd love to hear from you.
