Job summary

MI Metals, Inc. in Florida seeks a Forklift Operator in the Extrusion Department to safely operate forklifts, move raw materials and finished goods, and support production flow.

You will inspect forklifts, perform preventive maintenance, read shipping instructions in English, and comply with PPE requirements. Overtime and Saturdays may be required.

Must have valid driver’s license and be certified; three years of forklift experience preferred; join a safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Certified forklift operator; MI Metals operator certification training.
• 3+ years forklift experience; large/wide loads preferred.
• Read shipping instructions in English.
• Able to work overtime, including Saturdays.
• PPE required: hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, long pants, steel-toed shoes.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to transport raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
• Support workflow efficiency and uphold product quality standards.
• Inspect forklifts and perform basic maintenance at shift start or when switching units.
• Identify safety hazards and report to management.
• Stage material for production flow and assist line operations.
• Maintain neat work-in-progress notes and move materials around the facility.
• Contribute to good housekeeping and rack relocation as needed.
• Transport materials around the facility as required.
