Job summary

All Aviation Jobs seeks a flight instructor to educate students in safe aircraft operation and help them achieve pilot certification. The role focuses on flight and ground training under FAA procedures, ensuring proficiency of renter and student pilots and promoting the school’s training program.

Responsibilities include evaluating pilots, monitoring weather, conducting introductory flights, and covering duties as delegated by the flight school manager.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older upon completion of training and FAA test.
  • Read, speak, write and understand English.
  • Obtain at least a third-class medical certificate.
  • Hold ATP or Commercial certificate with appropriate aircraft category/class for the flight instructor rating; instrument rating if required.
  • Pass the Certified Flight Instructor and Fundamentals of Instruction knowledge tests.

Responsibilities

  • Train students to the level required for pilot certification.
  • Ensure renter and student pilots are proficient and safe to operate Phoenix Air aircraft.
  • Promote flight training with Phoenix Air.
  • Conduct flight and ground training per FAA procedures for pilot certification.
  • Evaluate renter pilots for safe aircraft operation.
  • Monitor weather to decide on student flights.
  • Conduct introductory flights to recruit students.
  • Fulfill duties assigned by the flight school manager and act in the manager's absence.
