Job summary

TalentWealth Recruiting is partnering with an Atlanta‑based independent wealth management firm to hire a CFP‑certified Relationship Manager. You will oversee a segment of existing client relationships and focus on planning and relationship management rather than asset gathering.

The role involves working with the principal advisory team to develop, present, and oversee the implementation of comprehensive financial plans, ensuring client needs are met with thoughtful strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • FINRA Series 7, 66 (or 65,63) is preferred.
  • Experience with goals-based planning software (eMoney, MoneyGuidePro).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and listening skills.
  • Ability to explain sophisticated financial concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial planning, asset allocation, and investment reports for client meetings.
  • Support the Senior Advisors in creating materials for client meetings.
  • Attend client meetings and assist in executing recommendations.
  • Evaluate client financial strategies through analyses of investments, tax, estate planning, and planning topics.
  • Perform research on investments, taxes, estate planning, benefits, and regulatory impacts.
  • Manage workflow and prioritize projects while supporting relationship growth.

At TalentWealth Recruiting we assist independent Wealth Management firms across the country in hiring top professionals to join their practices. Our client in Atlanta is a well-established independent firm managing over 550M in client assets and looking for a CFP professional to join their team as a Relationship Manager and oversee a segment of the firm's existing clients. This role is ideal for a CFP professional who wants to focus on planning and relationship management, not asset gathering.

Job Summary:

The Relationship Manager/CFP works with the firm's principal advisory team on all aspects of wealth management, including managing client relationships, identifying and meeting client needs, and developing, presenting, and overseeing the implementation of financial plans. The Relationship Manager/CFP is not expected to create new client introductions, however, the Relationship Manager/CFP is responsible for demonstrating how potential clients can benefit from working with the firm, directing the planning and onboarding processes, and deepening the client relationship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties generally represent the nature and level of work assigned:

  • Prepare financial planning, asset allocation, and investment performance reports for client meetings
  • Support the Senior Advisors in creating and assembling materials for client meetings
  • Attend client meetings
  • Assist in the execution of client recommendations
  • Assist the Senior Advisors in evaluating client financial strategies and decisions by conducting financial analyses on a wide range of investment, tax, estate, and financial planning topics
  • Perform research in investments, income tax planning, estate planning, employee benefits, the impact of recent regulations, and financial markets
  • Manage workflow and prioritize projects
  • The Relationship Manager will immediately begin work in the following areas:
  • Investment strategies
  • Asset allocation
  • Cash flow strategies
  • Tax planning
  • Insurance Strategies
  • Charitable giving
  • Financial and portfolio reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • FINRA series 7, 66 (or 65,63)
  • Experience with goals-based planning software (ex.. eMoney, MoneGuidePro)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and listening skills
  • Ability to understand and explain sophisticated financial concepts and issues
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, able to set priorities, self-starter
  • Financial planning/wealth management acumen, judgment, and experience
  • Passionate about doing what is best for clients and limiting conflicts inherent in the broader industry
  • Team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others
  • Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
