Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) seeks a Certified Liner Inspector to support field inspection and quality assurance for geomembrane liner installations across Alabama. You will verify that installations meet design specs, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, with travel to job sites statewide.

Qualifications

• Certified Liner Inspector credential from a recognized authority (GCI).
• Minimum 2 years of geomembrane liner installation/inspection experience.
• Familiarity with geomembrane materials (HDPE, LLDPE, PVC).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to travel across Alabama and work in outdoor environments.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and instrument-based inspections of geomembrane liner installations at construction/remediation sites.
• Monitor and document liner deployment, seaming, testing, and anchoring processes.
• Verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Use nondestructive testing (NDT) techniques to inspect seam quality.
• Maintain daily logs, photos, inspection forms, and quality records.
• Collaborate with crews, project managers, and contractors to ensure quality and safety.
• Report deficiencies or non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards at job sites.
