Job summary

Watson Clinic is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide treatment and consultation to athletes and others, under the supervision of a physician. The role includes reviewing records, assessing patients, and maintaining comprehensive documentation in the medical record.

Responsibilities also include preparing patients for visits, assisting with dressing changes and casts, and supporting the physician in marketing and expanding sports medicine services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited athletic training program with Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Current state licensure and national certification are required.
• CPR certification required.

Description

Provide athletic trainer treatments and consultations to a variety of athletes and non-athletes in accordance with the written and verbal instructions of supervising physician. To include: a review of the patient/athlete’s record and conducts a thorough assessment, and maintains required documentation.

Adheres to Watson Clinic policies & procedures in the administering, and documenting of medication given, or prescribed by ordering MD (as required by specialty) in patient’s medical record.

Prepares patient for office visit and maintains integrity by maintaining flow of patients, assist with dressing changes, removal of sutures and remove and apply casts and other appliances as directed.

Assist physician in marketing, development, and delivery of sports medicine services.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Athletic training program with Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Experience: Prefer at least one year of previous experience in an outpatient setting.
• Other Requirements: Must possess current state licensure, national certification, and CPR certification.
