Baptist Health System, Inc. seeks a Certified Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services in accordance with state practice acts. The role includes maintaining injury treatment orders and liaising with physicians, athletes and families.

Records of injuries, treatments and referrals must be accurately kept in the designated electronic health record system. The position also supports promotional activities for the sports medicine program and may cover outside events such as tournaments

Formación

• Certified Athletic Trainer credential required.
• Board of Certification for Athletic Trainer
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Athletic Training program
• Previous Athletic Training experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide athletic training services in accordance with state athletic training practice act.
• Maintain accurate injury, treatment, and referral records in the injury tracking and referral electronic health record program.
• Act as liaison between family physicians, specialists, athletes and parents as needed and coordinate with medical staff.
• Support promotion of the sports medicine program and cover outside events such as tournaments and races as needed.

Summary

Job Description:

The Certified Athletic Trainer will provide athletic training services in accordance with state athletic training practice act. They will maintain appropriate general treatment orders to be reviewed annually and approved by the physician. They will act as liaison between family physicians and specialists, athletes, and their parents, as needed. They will act as a liaison between athlete, medical assistant, physician, or physician office staff. They will maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and referrals in the injury tracking and referral electronic health record program. They will assist in promotional events for the sports medicine program as needed. They will cover outside events such as tournaments, races, etc. as needed. They will ensure provision of safe, competent services to the following age groups within or outside of the hospital.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience

• Certified Athletic Trainer
• Board of Certification- Board of Certification for Athletic Trainer
• BLS
• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited Athletic Training program
• Previous Athletic Training experience preferred
