Sentara is seeking a full-time therapist for an Orthopedic and Neurology Rehab clinic in Woodbridge, VA. The role operates on the first (days) shift under supervision of licensed clinicians, delivering quality exercise and health education for patients in a safe, professional setting.

Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field and BLS within 90 days; ACLS within 90 days for certain departments. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Instructs clients and families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
• Supports therapists in providing effective treatment plans and documents patient responses.
• Completes other clinical duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates ability to offer support and potential enhancements of services.

Overview

For Orthopedic and Neurology Rehab clinic

Full-time/1st shift

Under the direction and guidance of a licensed clinician, the therapist provides quality exercise and health education for patients, assuring a safe, pleasant, and professional atmosphere. The therapist administers therapy treatments under the direct supervision of licensed leader.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (Required) Exercise Science, Health Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Recreational Therapy, Physical Education.

BLS is required within 90 days for hire.

Certification/Licensure

ACLS is required within 90 days of hire for Clinical Exercise Specialist who work in Pulmonary/Cardiology Departments.

Experience

• Productive and efficient in daily operations.
• Establishes and updates the exercise program to address the Client/participant's needs. Supervises and assists clients/participants with their daily exercise sessions, ensuring client/participant safety.
• Provides effective instruction to Clients/participants and their families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Supports the health education needs of the center.
• Supports Therapist(s)/Providers in providing effective treatment plans. Documents patient response to treatment.
• Completes other clinical duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates ability to offer support and potential enhancements of services.

Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $23.84 - $36.02 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
