Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide counseling services in our community-focused program. You will evaluate diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and document case notes while collaborating with a dedicated team.

Ideal candidates hold a master's in a behavioral science and are licensed in Virginia; experience with intake assessments, children or families is a plus, and creativity in interventions is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or behavioral sciences from an accredited college.
• Licensed mental health professional in Virginia.
• Experience with intake assessments, treatment plans, and clinical case notes.
• Preferred: creative and innovative approaches to mental health.
• Preferred: experience with children, adolescents, teens, and families.
• Ideal knowledge of therapy services, community resources, and insurance billing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of 25 client sessions per week.
• Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community.
• Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals.
• Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other staff, and school staff as needed.
• Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and training.

Requirements

• Candidates are required to have a master’s degree in counseling, social work, or one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
• Required to be a licensed mental health professional in the state of Virginia.
• Required experience with completing Intake assessments, treatment plans, and clinical case notes.
• Prefer candidates with creative and innovative approaches to mental health.
• Prefer experience with children, adolescents, teens, and families.
• Ideal candidates will have a general knowledge of therapy services, community resources, insurance billing.
