Position Title: Drone Operator

Location: Tolleson, AZ

Mission:

Cutting-edge delivery system using autonomous aerial vehicles—or drones—to achieve a target 30-minute journey time from warehouse to customer.

This pathbreaking initiative enhances the service we already provide by optimizing transportation of lightweight items over short distances. It’s a smarter, greener, safer, more efficient way to serve our high-density customer base.

Day to Day:

This position is in search for a skilled Part107 certified operator with extensive experience operating drones via a Remote Control. The qualified candidate will act as an operations specialist assisting in the development and test of cutting-edge safety related technologies. The role includes mission planning and lightweight maintenance duties. The candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology. This individual will also conduct limited operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed. The role will also require cross team training to support teams such as (but not limited to) delivery sites for pre-launch tasks.

Travel up to 75% of the year, including out-of-state and potentially international destinations. Travel will involve an extended, continuous duration.
Work in volatile weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, snow) all within the established safety thresholds.
Drive to offsite work locations daily (work vehicle will be provided).
Work variable shifts and schedules including weekends when applicable. Schedule changes frequently depending on certain daylight conditions.
Overtime may be required and approved based off of work assignment/deliverables.

Must Haves:

1+ years of commercial drone piloting experience (bigger commercial drones).
Candidate must be able to travel up to 75% of the year, including out-of-state and potentially international destinations.
Minimum of 100 RPIC Flight Hours Logged.
Troubleshooting experience with Windows or Mac.
Excellent coordination and organization.
