Qualifications

• SDPI or 80-hour DMV Driver Education training required.
• Minimum four years of licensed motor vehicle operation experience.
• No license revocation or suspension in the last ten years.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• No moving violations totaling five+ points in last three years.

Responsibilities

• Teach driver education classes and drive students as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and textbooks/equipment.
• Submit required reports timely to the Lead Instructor and Coordinator.
• Display good public relations with parents and school personnel.
• Maintain open communication with other drivers education staff.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Apply sound reasoning and judgment in daily tasks.
• Resolve problems and maintain professional phone etiquette.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills and summarize information.
• Foster cooperative working relationships with contacts.
