Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Petco Certified Dog Trainer to enhance the bond between pet parents and their dogs. The role includes one-on-one sessions, group classes, and personalized plans to address training goals.

You will participate in a 6-week instructor program and work with grooming and veterinary teams to provide holistic solutions. The starting wage is $17.13 per hour with a range of $16.00–$22.00.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with pet parents and provide instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to handle and work with dogs of all sizes and breeds.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and schedules.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as training demands.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds around dog training spaces.
• Familiarity with computer systems to manage training records and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide world class dog training services through sessions, classes, and plans.
• Complete the Dog Trainer Instructor Program and related training materials.
• Recommend and sell training classes and supplies to pet parents.
• Maintain accurate records of sessions and progress.
• Collaborate with grooming and veterinary teams for holistic care.
• Support guests with merchandise and services aligned to needs.
