The CDM acts as a liaison between the clinical/dietetics team and kitchen staff, ensuring guests receive diet- and texture-appropriate, appetizing, and nutritious meals.

Responsibilities
  • Complete diet history and food preference screening upon guest admission.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement menus tailored to guest needs.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness in compliance with regulations.
  • Supervise dietary department purchasing within the facility budget.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including procurement, sanitation, scheduling, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with other departments to accommodate guests’ dietary preferences and routines.
  • Accurately document dietary aspects of guest care plans.
Qualifications
  • Certified Dietary Manager Certification or current enrollment in an approved certification course.
  • ServSafe Certification required within 90 days of employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferably, two years of supervised food service experience in an institutional setting, focusing on planning, preparing, and serving diets.
