Responsibilities
  • Develop written dietary care plans for each resident, including goals and modifications, and participate in residents' MDS to meet their dietary needs.
  • Plan, prepare, and oversee daily operations within the departmental budget.
  • Make daily rounds of food service personnel to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
  • Oversee the setup, preparation, and delivery of meals that are palatable, visually appealing, and portion-controlled.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Create an environment of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and calmness.
Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Dietary Manager or Registered Dietitian (or willingness to become certified).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a dietary management role in a healthcare setting.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
