Responsibilities
- Develop written dietary care plans for each resident, including goals and modifications, and participate in residents' MDS to meet their dietary needs.
- Plan, prepare, and oversee daily operations within the departmental budget.
- Make daily rounds of food service personnel to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- Oversee the setup, preparation, and delivery of meals that are palatable, visually appealing, and portion-controlled.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.
- Ensure confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Create an environment of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and calmness.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Dietary Manager or Registered Dietitian (or willingness to become certified).
- 3-5 years of experience in a dietary management role in a healthcare setting.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
