Job summary

Atrium Centers is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to lead daily dietary operations in our long-term care settings in Michigan. You will oversee meals, service, sanitation, and regulatory compliance while guiding a dedicated dietary team.

You will develop menus, monitor nutrition needs, train staff, manage inventories and budgets, and collaborate with nursing to support resident wellbeing. CDM and ServSafe certifications are required; two years of food-service management in healthcare

Qualifications

• CDM credential — required.
• ServSafe Certification — required.
• Minimum 2 years of food service management experience in long-term care or healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, special diets, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Understanding of federal and state dietary regulations in skilled nursing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dietary operations, including meal preparation, service, and sanitation.
• Develop and implement menus that meet regulatory standards and resident nutritional needs.
• Ensure all meals comply with physician orders, special diets, and texture modifications.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control, and resident satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate dietary team members.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation, infection control, and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs and waste.
• Maintain accurate records for purchases, deliveries, and departmental reporting.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to support resident nutrition.
• Participate in surveys, inspections, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Respond to resident and family concerns related to dietary services.

What You Bring
