Job summary

Groton Family Dentistry Pc is seeking a qualified Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. You will support the dentist during exams and procedures, assist with patient check-in, and handle administrative tasks like scheduling appointments.

A valid CDA or DANB licensure and prior dental assisting experience are preferred. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent patient care in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certificate or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license per DANB requirements.
• Previous experience as a dental assistant.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
• Take vital signs and accurately record medical history
• Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
• Schedule appointments
