Job summary

Clear Lakes Dental is hiring a full-time, DANB Certified Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists. You will take dental x-rays, perform coronal polishing, apply sealants, and help with patient education while maintaining a clean, HIPAA-compliant workflow.

We offer 100% fully paid training and a competitive hourly wage. Strong communication and Spanish/Somali/Oromo/Hmong language skills are a plus. Prior customer service experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; secondary education is a plus.
• DANB certification or equivalent preferred.
• Certificate in coronal polishing, radiography/x-ray, and sealant application preferred.
• CPR training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and hygienists during procedures.
• Sterilize and set up operatories between patients.
• Take and process dental x-rays.
• Coronal polishing and sealant application.
• Document treatment plans and patient notes accurately.
• Educate patients on postoperative care.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant, safe, and clean workspace.

Position Title: DANB Certified Dental Assistant

Status: Full-Time – Non- Exempt Hourly Professional

Report To: Assistant Dental Operations Manager (ADOM)

Job Overview

Certified Dental Assistants assist with preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, and setting up rooms. Certified Dental Assistants will assist EFDA's and Hygienists with patient treatments. Certified Dental assistants are well-organized with great attention to detail. They provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist Dentists and Hygienists during procedures
• Sterilize and set up operatories between patients
• Take and process dental x-rays
• Coronal polishing
• Document treatment plans and patient notes accurately
• Apply sealants, fluoride, and other preventive treatments
• Educate patients on postop care
• Keep our workspace safe, clean, and HIPAA-compliant
• Be an all-around awesome teammate!

Compensation: $20-$24

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; secondary education is a plus.
• Certificate in Coronal Polishing preferred.
• Certificate in Dental Radiography/X-Ray preferred.
• Certificate in Sealant Application
• CPR training is not required but definitely a plus.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• A desire to learn more about the dental industry.
• Good computer skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Attention to detail, well-organized, and reliable.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Somali, Oromo, or Hmong is a plus.
