Job summary

Clear Lakes Dental in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant (unlicensed). No license required. Reports to the ADOM and assists licensed providers with chair-side support, instrument prep, charting, vital signs, and post-operative care.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of customer service experience, good computer skills, and strong communication. Bilingual in Spanish, Somali, Oromo or Hmong is a plus. Hours are 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent; secondary education is a plus.
• 1–3 years customer service experience.
• Desire to learn more about the dental industry.
• Good computer skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Somali, Oromo or Hmong a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs job functions under the supervision of a licensed provider.
• Reviews patient chart and prepares instruments and equipment.
• Retrieves and records patient vitals.
• Prepares cases for lab; pours stone models.
• Records treatment information and charts treatment plan.
• Assists dentist during procedures and maintains operatory.
• Sterilizes operatory and maintains equipment and workspace.
• Assists in infection control and inventory management.
• Records preferred pharmacy for patients.
