Job summary

You will plan lifts, take charge of safety during setup and operation, perform rigging and daily equipment inspections, and respond to commands from riggers and helpers.

This role requires working outdoors in all weather, climbing to heights up to 200 ft, and adhering to all safety, project rules, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Proficient with measurement tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate crane to lift and move materials.
• Plan lifts and ensure safety, use capacity charts.
• Perform rigging and daily equipment inspections.
• Respond to commands from rigger or helpers.
• Observe the travel of loads and prevent injuries or damage.
• Read boom angle and drum rotation indicators.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and resources needed for activities.
• Inspect subordinates' work for contract compliance and correct deficiencies.
